The webpage is for all currently serving Heads of Departments (HODs) and Postgraduate Coordinators of Biochemistry Programmes in Nigeria. This is the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria. This national directory is intended to ease Networking, Collaboration, and Interaction among members. In addition, it is targeted at improving the practice of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Profession in Nigeria. RECOGNITION OF BIOCHEMISTS AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGISTS ON THE HBPN PLATFORMS

NSBMB Members occupying headship positions: All newly appointed biochemists (HODs and PG Coordinators) are expected to show evidence of their membership status with NSBMB, including two years of annual dues plus their membership registration number (MRN).
Non-NSBMB Members occupying headship positions: Following the NSBMB policy and decision of the NEC, biochemists who are occupying the position of Heads of Department or PG Coordinator without evidence of membership with the society and a valid membership number are expected to pay for the membership registration in addition to the annual dues as follows:
Those in the professorial cadre are to pay 5 years of annual dues plus a registration fee.
Other categories include paying 3-year annual dues plus a registration fee.
